Wania and Liam’s wedding in the Catlins was the kind of day that felt completely immersed in its surroundings - wild, scenic, and effortlessly relaxed.

Set at River Ridge, their celebration made the most of everything this incredible part of New Zealand has to offer. Known for its rugged coastline, native bush, and quiet, untouched landscapes, the Catlins created a stunning and ever-changing backdrop throughout the day.

There was a real sense of ease to everything - a celebration that felt grounded and genuine, with the focus simply on being together. Surrounded by friends and family, Wania and Liam embraced the natural beauty of the location, letting the day unfold in a way that felt relaxed and true to them.

The landscape itself offered endless inspiration for photos, with rich greenery and those signature moody Catlins tones adding depth and atmosphere to every moment. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need much - the setting speaks for itself.

Thoughtful details came together beautifully, from the soft, natural florals by Flowers For You, to makeup by Face Body & Beauty. Guests were well looked after with catering by The Urban Kitchen, and the day was led by celebrant Sharyn Payne.

Wania and Liam’s wedding was a beautiful example of how special a destination celebration can be... relaxed, scenic, and centred around connection and experience.
